Michiel is widely recognized for his extensive global network, having worked in Europe, the US and Asia, enhancing his capability to identify cross-border opportunities and collaborations. Additionally, he is known as the author of the influential weekly newsletter “Frackers on Tech” and as co-host of the NFA Podcast, a show covering technology, Web3, and market trends, with Dr. Nisheta Sachdev.
He has spoken at major global events such as TechCrunch Disrupt in New York, the Davos World Economic Forum, SXSW, and the Singapore ATX Summit. His investment and advisory work has emphasized sustainability since 2015 and blockchain technology since 2017.
Michiel also actively engages in non-profit initiatives. He has served as an advisor to the Dutch Secretary of Education and led Dutch startup missions to the United States with several initiatives, including “Dutch Fellows” and “High Tech Connections,” led by the Dutch Prime Minister, to promote innovative Dutch startups internationally.
